CityScape beautifies Wick Park view
This past weekend marked the 15th year for StreetScape, Youngstown CityScape’s Annual Planting Day. Approximately 500 volunteers filled the streets of Downtown Youngstown and surrounding areas, including Park Vista’s neighbor, Historic Wick Park.
A group of Park Vista volunteers worked that chilly Saturday morning, weeding, planting flowers, mulching and cleaning up the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway Street. Other community groups and dedicated volunteers worked in the park as well, creating a colorful mosaic of roses, begonias, marigolds and other beautiful plants.
We’d like to thank those who took the time to plant, weed and mulch all over the city, especially those who beautified Wick Park. The vibrant blooms and well-manicured flower beds will provide an even more picturesque view for our nearly 300 residents every day this summer!
